Eucalyptus is heavy wood & these chairs, though they fold, are not lightweight. They are strong & comfortable enough to support a large person. Choose these over bamboo because, though lighter in weight, some bamboo has cyanide in it & we'll be using these in our sauna.

The chairs look expensive and are very sturdy. Adding chair pads would add to comfort. I ordered four. We had a little difficulty opening a few of them and some of the arms needed tightening. One chair won't open at all - the groove was apparently cut too narrowly at one point and jams. (Thus the 4 stars.) Surprising because they are well-made, overall. My husband is going to have to enlarge the groove, somehow - too much hassle to send them back! Even so, I would buy again - they are a good value.

I really like these chairs. They are strong and sturdy, but don't take up a lot of room to store. They also fold very easily. I also find them very attractive. I'm pleased that I bought them.
