This swing chair appears to be a slightly smaller, lighter and much cheaper knock-off of the original Outback Lounger, itself a poorly executed product from China. Curiously the manufacturer's instructions tell you not to swing in it! Its implied functionality is for outdoor use but DO NOT LEAVE THIS CHAIR OUT IN THE WEATHER! The bentwood arms are coated in a thin interior grade polyurethane and will discolor and de-laminate virtually overnight if rained on. Also the cushions are sponge rubber which soak up water and never release it. Once it gets wet it takes a week or more in the sun to dry out. The chair is strung together with what appears to be hollow core polypropylene braid which has stretched quite a bit and, in my sailing experience, is typically not UV resistant. Finally, the quality control is non-existent. The seams in the seat cushion are so crooked it looks like it was sewn by an eight year old. One of the holes in the arm was off center so that the cross bar would not fit. The plastic rope locks (used to adjust recline angle) snapped in two after a weeks use. Two things that this chair has going for it though are comfort and price. If you have a covered porch or deep roof overhang you will enjoy this chair.
