Not as comfy as some higher end similar sets (like Pottery Barn) but the price is great April 25, 2010 J. Harryman (chicago) We've had this set now for a few years. We keep it covered and bring it in in the winter. So far the wood has held up very well. The table we bought does not get covered and after 2 summers outside it looks pretty close to the covered pieces - it's gotten less vibrant and if i don't begin to apply the teak oil it will weather but all in all it's a nice set. It's a stiffer feeling seat than say a similar looking set from pottery barn, but it's also half the price. The cushion covers are a little tough to keep clean, as would be expected with a light color like that. I scotch gaurded some but that didn't seem to help. I got a big stain on one and it was almost impossible to get the cover off to wash it. i did so by hand. I have not yet wrested with it to put it back on - I'm kind of dreading it. But other than that, we like it. It looks great on our deck.
Great Value April 10, 2010 GREENMAN (Charlottesville, VA) We had looked at similar patio sectional systems and this on was by far the best value. The furniture is sturdy and looks great. I wish we had other options for the cushions, as these dirty quickly, but all in all, we atre very pleased.
Cushions quickly rot in damp weather March 30, 2010 S. Mallon (Chesapeake, VA) After assembling, the furniture looked great. Unfortunately, within days after first use the cushions were dirty and difficult to clean (unlike other cushions I have had outside). Then within another week or so, the cushions got extremely bad mildew and needed to be tossed. Now I need to decide whether or not to buy cushions every year and worry about moving them to storage whenever they are not in use. I would not recommend you buy this furniture unless you live somewhere extremely dry. Very disappointed.
Corner seat fail to assemble March 12, 2010 Christine Hui (TX) The armless and ottoman assemble quite easily and the shipping box stamped "certified frustration free"
The corner chair however does not have the "certified frustration free" stamp and it failed to assemble. The sitting board does not fit into the L shape frame. It was off by 3mm - hardslamming will not work with that discrepancy
Also the packing is poor, the corner of the side board
The arc of the backboard also doesn't match with the armless chair
The worst about buying furniture online is the return process, but I had to return it instead of taking the discount option. I think I am going to replace it with another armless to make sure that I don't have to return the second time
Nice, sturdy furniture for indoor or outdoor use November 13, 2009 Amy L 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought 2 corner pieces and put them facing each other, creating a loveseat. I needed something modular for my office, which is a pretty small room, and this works perfectly. I have an antique oak drawing table in there as well as very old oak floors, and to my delight this "kapur" wood went really well with those finishes. It is a dull finish, which I think is why it works. The cushions are really firm, probably good for sitting outdoors but kind of rigid for an indoor room. The covers are a muslin--type fabric that is sort of a yellowish-white. It probably looks nice and crisp outdoors, but indoors it's a little too yellow, so I am going to try Rit as one of the reviewers mentioned. The assembly is not bad--but there is one important trick to it (the corner seat piece only). You have to be sure to slip 2 of the cams into the holes on the front right edge (according to the pic here)--you slip them in but don't fasten them with a screw until the side piece has been installed. The instructions do not mention this at all, and then you end up with a loose side piece and 2 extra cams! So make sure you slip them in before putting on the side piece, and I even held the cams in position temporarily with two screws until right before taking them straight out carefully and sliding the side piece on.
